Quick History: Marimekko
I've posted this orgionally for the research on the end product - the Marimekko dress featured in this photo, but I'm actually commenting on the fantastic design of this LIFE Magazine photoshoot . Published in the June 24, 1966 edition, the photo has a cult like status as it demonstrates the sexual freedom of the era. Embracing freedom breaking away of the constraints of society is an important element of the Marimekko brand, and this photoshoot shares this vision and brand value perfectly.
