THE PRESENTATION OF CHRIST TO THE TEMPLE -  GREEK, ATTRIBUTED TO ELIAS MOSKOS, 17TH CENTURY -  The elderly figure of Simeon the High-Priest on a pedestal, holding the Christ Child in his arms, leaning forward to present Him to his Mother, the latter extending her veiled hands in response, to the left St. Joseph carrying the two turtle doves in a cage, next to him the Prophetess Anna holding an open scroll & pointing to the event, the space behind dominated by the ciborium... 17 3/8 x 10 3/8…

A SPANISH COLONIAL SILVER-GILT AND ENAMEL CIBORIUM AND COVER  EARLY 17TH CENTURY  On cylindrical domed base, applied with painted enamel flowerheads, the cylindrical stem with circular discs, also applied with painted enamel flowerheads, the stepped domed cover surmounted by a cross, the cup with removable gilt liner, apparently unmarked  11½ in. (28.7 cm.) high; 54 oz. (1,684 gr.) gross weight
