The width of a yan ling dao (雁翎刀) is almost constant except at the head of the sword and at the tip, which  narrows sharply. The body of the blade is almost straight but curves slightly at the tip, and the handle is straight.

A hunga munga, an African throwing weapon. Think of it as a giant-size shuriken (throwing star).

The Kpinga (also called the Hunga Munga) was a bladed throwing knife used by the Azande of Nubia. It would have been about 22 inches in length and had three different shaped blades projecting at different angles to maximize damage to the enemy.

Miao dao (苗刀)  is widely believed to descend from the long and narrow ring pommel sword during the Han dynasty.  It originally fell out of favour after tha Song dynasty as the long and narrow blade was difficult to manufacture on large scale during ancient times.  The word "miao" has two meanings: as an adjective, it means "long and slender“; as a noun, it refers to a small ethnic group in Southwest China in which ever man customarily carries a long, narrow sword.
