Leymus arenarius (Blue Dune Grass) - ONLY grow this plant in a container on a patio or in a shady area under trees because 1) it is highly invasive and nearly impossible to remove in regular garden soil (it normally grows on dunes so regular soil makes it go crazy happy) and 2) it retains its lovely blue colour through winter better if given shade. It will be more intensely blue in full sun though. Can grow to 5' tall and is evergreen everywhere in New England.
