.By the time I was in the first grade Mom had taught me all the nursery rhymes. Loved sitting by the old wood cook stove and having her teach me while she worked. The first one I memorized --The Three Little Kittens. As my grand children came along I would recite these rhymes to them while we were riding in the car. Sure kept them quiet for the duration of the little trip we were taking.
