First car I remember: my Dad's 1951 Chevrolet, the only car he ever bought new. I still have the scratchy wool lap robe that hung on a velvet rope across the back of the front seats. Who remembers lap robes, anyway?

1958 Chevy Impala convertible. My Uncle had a blue convertible like this and my cousin and me would cruise the circuit downtown on Saturday nights. It was a lot of innocent fun while it lasted. The city police grew tired of the thousands of kids storming main street on weekends and they closed the streets and made them all one-way only with an 11pm curfew. That ended it.

1960 Chevrolet Corvair Monza - Not sure what year or style my Grandmother had, but she would drive, what seemed to me, a million miles an hour down at the lake with all the extreme curves and hills.  She was CRAZY!  It was a white Corvair with red interior, loved it.
