The Djemaa el-Fna (or Jemaa el Fna) is the main square in the city of Marrakech, Morocco. This lady was hard at work keeping her produce ready for sale at the Farmer's Market in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The vendors in the city's many markets are largely cholas cuencanas—women from the surrounding countryside who sport jaunty sombreros de paja toquilla (don't call them panama hats here!) and carry astonishingly heavy loads. "Cholas, for obvious reasons, practically never get osteoporosis," Trillin was told.
