Opel Admiral 1967 calendar This was the cover of the 1967 calendar. Opel never gave any information about the location of the cover photos, but this car is also portrayed on a photo that is taken in Unken, Salzburgerland in Austria.
Opel Kapitän - 1955 calendar I'm sure this location will be identified soon by one of my German contacts. Cross country skiing, I love it. I just hope these two realize there is a fence ahead. But maybe the Opel is waiting for them.
Springtime femme fatale 1963 calendar, 1959-1964 Opel Kapitän Her approach is sexy and slow, she is waiting before she makes her move. Does the man, who seems to be peeling his potatoes, even notice her? And what will he do then? Nice car of course, exactly the same colour combination my Dad had - there's a photo of it on my stream, somewhere.
1965 Opel Rekord Car-A-Van Black Forest / Schwarzwald The Black Forest is one of Germany's prettiest regions. The south part is most known with tourists, but the center and north are as nice as well, and not so busy. Notice the typical Black Forest farmhouse with attached stable. There is often a stable entrance on attic level and you can just see that on this photo too.
Wallis, I think | 1957-1960 Opel Olympia Rekord | Wallis is in Switzerland of course. Just a guess, because I've seen sheds like this when I was there many years ago. But will there ever come a time again, when women will spread their dresses or skirts around them when sitting in a mountain field? But why is this lady looking so in love at her Opel, while the scenery around her is so stunning?
1965 Opel Kadett LS Coupé Marburg, Germany The Coupe LS and LS sedan Kadetts sported their own distinctive front facia, which resembled the front end styling of its successor, the '66 Kadett. This 12th century Marburg Castle overlooks the city of Marburg and is part of the university and houses the collection of the faculty for religious science.
Rhine wine Kadett 1964 calendar - Opel Kadett The Rhine valley between Koblens and Bingen is a UNESCO world heritage site. I come here regularly,, and it is indeed an enchanting area. Stunning scenery, small romantic towns, numerous castles, good food and extrordinary wines. Recommended! And yes, you can walk through the vineyards.
Bavarian winter wonderland 1967 calendar - Opel Rekord Every now and then, the Opel calender art directors simply used scissors and glue to add a car to a background, as we see here. The new Opel Rekord was probably not ready yet when the winter shots were taken for the upcoming calender - so, this was the way to go then. Location: Ramsau, Bavaria / Germany.
