270-ROMAN ARCHITECTURE, Residential Buildings, Pompeii: Oecus, House of the Silver Wedding, 3rd century, renovated 1st century. The wall of the Oecus (principal hall/salon, used as a dining room) was built of wood.  wooden columns on bases was painted purplish red .
