Luftwaffe Me163B 191614 The Messerschmitt Me.163B was a single seat rocket engined fighter interceptor used by the German Luftwaffe in WWII. This example, 191614, was surrendered to the RAF in 1945 and brought to RAF Farnborough. It came to the RAF Museum at Cosford in 1980. RAF Museum Cosford, Shropshire. August 2010
Manfred von Richthofen (1892 – 1918), also widely known as the Red Baron, was a German fighter pilot with the Imperial German Army Air Service (Luftstreitkräfte) during World War I. He is considered the top ace of that war, being officially credited with 80 air combat victories.
