Crocodile, Crocodile, Down by the lake, I'll reach in, to see what sound you ate. Kids reach in and choose a letter and tell me the sound but if they get a snap card they can draw again. 3 snap cards and the game is over.
Crocodile Snap Game- If a letter is read correctly, students get to keep it. If snap is pulled, the cards all go back in the crocodile. Use with sight words--would be easily adapted to fit different word patterns. Math problems would work too.
Alphabet Game - letter sorting with cars and trucks. I think I'd make sure the vehicles for lowercase letters were short, tall or "in the wormies" under the road. All capital vehicles would need to touch top of the road.
Phonics 1 Phonics/Alphabet Baskets Sorting Activity (from The Imagination Tree) Make baskets with objects that sound like a specific letter. Give the students a basket and let them practice their phonics skills by naming the objects.
Kindergarten RTI: Letter Identification & Recognition
Another pinner: Kindergarten RTI: Letter Identification & Recognition. Very cool letter book. Lexi is no where CLOSE to Kindergarten, but this is perfect for her level right now. This would def keep her happy on the road trips too.
