Pinus sylvestris Scots pine P. sylvestris is a large evergreen tree to with the upper trunk and branches orange-brown, developing a picturesque, irregular outline with maturity. Twisted grey-green needles are borne in pairs.
I love the little stepping stone path (maybe impractical?) and also the way the screens stop you seeing all the way down - draws your eye along path (could be a good way to distract attention from fence and wall?
Wonderful mix of material for garden path. Cobblestone sectioned between random pattern of bricks (reclaimed bricks offer a softer mellow tone of age along with irregular edges) and plantings of different types of thyme. Bordered with bricks as well.
