Dades gorges, Boumalen region, Morocco this Dades Valley, long over 200 km, four successive series of canyons whose walls may have heights ranging from 200-500 meters. these walls are formed mainly of limestone formations for much of Eocene and Jurassic ages. sediments having been transformed into these rocks were originally deposited in a marine environment, then raised, deformed and broken by the Alpine orogeny. the result is the reliefs were rising over the Dades.
