I was asked to make a graduation cake for a young lady. This is done in her school colours. The cake is a 2 layer 9 x 13 white almond sour cream (best recipe and cake ever Melissa) and covered in fondant. The grad cap I made by melting candy melts and molding them in my giant cupcake pan. I covered an 8 x 8 cakeboard with fondant to make the mortar board on the cap. The tassel and scroll are made of fondant. The rose, which was a last minute idea, is gumpaste.
