These are fairly typical city guards, hired and trained to keep order in the city. They are issued better equipment than those in the countryside and tend to see more action than quiet towns. They are also more experienced in detecting when a suspect is bluffing and watching for anything suspicious. If a situation requires they have access to shields and other supplies from the garrisons, though these aren't normally carried for standard patrol duty.

Alfonso VI (before June, 1040 – June 29/July 1, 1109), nicknamed the Brave (El Bravo) or the Valiant, was King of León from 1065, King of Castile and de facto King of Galicia from 1072. Alfonso was the second son of Ferdinand the Great and Sancha of León, the daughter of Alfonso the Noble and sister to Bermudo III of León.
