USS Florida (BB-30) The Florida class (of only two) were the first US battleship class in which all ships received steam turbine engines.
The Bismarck in Battle The Bismarck in Battle. This photo is the most well known of the battleship Bismarck and one the most famous of World War II as well. It was taken from the Prinz Eugen sometime between 0607 and 0609 hours on 24 May 1941. By then the Hood had already been sunk and the Bismarck hit on her bows. The after turrets "Cдsar" and "Dora" are firing against the Prince of Wales in one of the last salvoes of the battle.
HMS Woolwich(F80), Destroyer Depot Ship, built for the RN by Fairfield at Govan completed in June '35. The ship was deployed to support destroyers of the Mediterranean Fleet. During World War II, she was assigned to the Home, Mediterranean and Eastern Fleets. She returned home in ;46, but rejoined the Mediterranean Fleet the following year. She returned to the Uk in '48 to become a maintenance and accommodation ship. She was sold for scrap in '62. Crew of 666. 4x1 4"QF. 15knot speed.
