The Bohun Upas, the tree of poisons.  In European medieval lore, the Bohun Upas, native to farway Malay, was a tree so toxic, its fumes killed all plants and animals for miles around.  Anyone falling asleep under it would never awaken.  The legend was likely based on the Bausor Tree (Antiaris toxicaria), whose poisonous sap was used by natives to coat arrows.
