The top line is inspired by the original Superboy logo by Ira Schnapp, but this is Gaspar at his best, in my opinion. -- Todd Klein

You can't read comics without a letterer! Ira Schnapp was DC's iconic calligrapher who plied his trade to covers, logos (including "Action," "Adventure," "The Flash," "Justice League"), house ads - and the comics industry's Comics Code seal. Prior to comics, he "lettered" the postal vow at the post office on 421 8th Ave in Manhattan and intertitle cards for silent movies.
