1 A . classic "left to right" independent work system. i prefer my students to stand (chairs can be distractions!) but i use a color dot to give a visual boundary of where they need to be. i also place a "finished" visual at the end of a work sequence to teach students to raise their hand when they are done

Independent work station- has 3 pre-taught activities in a A/B/C setup. Usually set-up with one puzzle, one fine motor skill, and one academic task.  The student bring "A" activity down onto work surface, completes, and then it goes under the shelf when completed. There is an "X" next to each activity which the students puts in an "All Done" template that is on the bottom right. The student then moves on to "B" activity. When finished,  we check that it is correct and re-set for next…
