ERNEST CHAPLET (1835-1909) His first essays in copper and red date back to this period and were initially made in stoneware and then in hard porcelain after 1885. He bought the workshop in Rue Blomet, subsequently sold it to Delaherche in 1887, and settled in Choisy-le-Roi to devote himself exclusively to producing flambé porcelain. After 1895, he achieved a high degree of perfection in his techniques. He earned a world-wide reputation at the Exhibition of 1900.
