A Large Egyptian Wood Mummy Mask, Dynasty, circa B. Faint traces of red pigment on the face, and blue pigment on the lower edge of the wig. Height 13 in.

Gods

The Egyptians had many gods and goddesses. The early tombs were mastabas, rectangular structures of mud brick, with slightly sloping walls. By the end of Dynasty II, the interiors of royal mastabas were being constructed of cut stone.
