A cloisonné enamel vase of rounded square section, delicately worked in sculpted silver wire with stems of flowering hydrangea beneath a gold wire butterfly on a midnight blue ground, the neck and foot with formal borders, applied with silver mounts. Signed on a silver plaque with the retailer’s mark Kin’unken zo (Inaba Nanaho). Height 21.2cm. Circa 1900.
