Lemon Pepper Chicken – A Versatile & Delicious Chicken Dish
The tanginess of lemon and the sharp kick of pepper make this dish really interesting. A perfect party starter as well as a main course dish, this is indeed versatile. I had this dish at a friend’s party and then in a restaurant. I loved the dish but never really though of trying at home. But since that was a Monday and I was feeling lazy and husband wanted to have something tasty and I wanted to cook something shortcut – I could not thing of a much better option than Lemon Pepper Chicken.
Kolkata Style Chicken Chaap
Chicken Chaap is traditionally a Mughlai dish brought to Bengal by the Mughals straight from Awadh. A large portion of Bengal’s traditional non veg dishes have Awadhi influence and thanks to the Mughals for that. A lot of Mughlai dishes got a Bengali twist as the Nawabs moved their headquarter in Murshidabad – fish mingled with rice to form Mahi Pulao, Biriyani got its alu (potato) and Chaap got its special Bengali rich taste with char magaj (melon seeds), posto (poppy seeds) and other spices.
