EXPO in the Sky...

For the EXPO 2020 in Dubai we planned the rotating glass viewing platform "Sky Garden" (height: 55 m). The platform has a diameter of 15 m. The upper level of the platform was designed to be open, with shady trees at a lofty height. The lower level is air-conditioned and closed. Werner Sobek was responsible for the structural design of the observation tower, which is based on the design of the architectural office Asif Khan. #expo2020 #dubai #skygarden

With our filigree shading systems, we were able to make a significant contribution to the design of the EXPO site - we are all the more pleased that the shading systems will continue to be used.
